Tucked quietly behind the main dwelling, The Courtyard en-suite bedroom sleeps 2 and offers cosy accommodation in Hermanus with a fireplace at the foot of the king size bed (or twin beds). Popular for honeymooners, birthday or anniversary celebrations, this romantic and peaceful room also offers the option of bed and breakfast or self-catering for preparation of light meals. 

Booking for a family?: Granny and Grandpa would find the Courtyard Suite very convenient for a bit of peace and quiet, while Mum and Dad and the kids are accommodated in the self-catering Garden Cottage, situated just a few meters away.

The separate galley kitchenette has a 2 plate gas plate cooker, mini convection oven, microwave, toaster, kettle, egg boiler and bar fridge (additional freezer space in main dwelling). You may use the gas grill for an outdoor braai in the Summer (Weber braai on request). The wood burning fireplace is a great attraction in Winter.  We supply firewood for the fireplace.  The compact en suite bathroom has a separate shower and   small bath. The Courtyard looks out on its enclosed, paved courtyard with garden furniture and to the side, the neighbour’s shrub border.

If you are looking for restful, comfortable accommodation in Hermanus with a fireplace, where a view is not that important to you, then consider booking the The Courtyard. It is also an ideal and convenient choice for that business trip and shorter stays.

The Courtyard suite is serviced daily except on public holidays (please see our policies here)   A ceiling fan cools you on hot summer days and you can enjoy accommodation with a fireplace that warms you in winter. A wall heater and electric blankets for chilly winter nights are also provided.  Free fibre  WiFi/internet is available.  A wall safe is provided in each unit. Laundry facilities are close by in the village.  The Courtyard is pet friendly on request and is suitable for a small to medium size dog.

A complimentary welcome tea and coffee tray and guest toiletries are also just part of the little luxuries we hope will make you feel comfortable and at home in the Courtyard Suite.

Rates for the Courtyard Suite are quoted on a self-catering basis per night per unit. ~ Weekends: minimum booking of two nights ~ Long weekends: will not be broken up ~ Single rate on request ~ We focus on self catering – A self service Breakfast hamper packed into your fridge is available at R120pp on request.

The sunny and quaint Garden Cottage is also pet friendly should the Courtyard be unavailable.  The Rose Room is most suitable as a very romantic room for that special celebration occasion or honeymoon.  The Loft is lovely and spacious and suitable for a family of 4 and ideal for longer stays.  Should you not want to self-cater, a breakfast tray may be ordered 24hours before, to be served to your room or pre packed into your bar fridge for self-service and convenience.

Should Eastbury Cottage be fully booked, Consider  THE MAYFLOWER – click here at 18 Flower Street Hermanus.  The Mayflower accommodates 2 persons in 2 upper deck suites and there is a sleeper couch for additional person/s.

Cancellation Policy:

– Cancellation 14 days and less before arrival date forfeits the deposit.

– Cancellation 21 days-14 days before arrival date forfeits 75% of the deposit

– Cancellation 30-21 days before arrival date forfeits 50% of the deposit.

– Cancellation admin fee 10% of total booking cost for all cancellations.

-All shortened stays are subject to the payment of the full cost of the accommodation reserved irrespective of reason.

– Please ensure that you have adequate travel insurance to cover cancellation penalties.

Unit Specifications

Full bathroom with a separate shower and bath. A baby bath is available on request. Fluffy cotton towels provided. Beach towels on request. Hairdryer provided.

Flat screen Smart TV. DSTV (All Mnet Movie Channels, All Super Sport Channels and News Channel) OR Bring your own decoder and card. DVD player provided and complimentary library at Reception.

The light self-catering kitchenette has crockery and cutlery, grill/convection microwave, toaster, kettle, electric frying pan, sandwich toaster, egg boiler and under counter fridge, (additional freezer space on request). Barbeque - gas grill. Baby feeding chair on request.

Designed for a couple, a romantic king size bed or separate twin beds for individuals, 2 persons are accommodated comfortably. Baby cot on request. We use non-allergy, high quality duvets and pillows, fresh, crisp linen, to provide the perfect sleep.

Secure off street parking for one vehicle.

Unfortunately we do not allow smoking in our facilities. We provide ash trays outside.

This unit is pet friendly for small to medium size doggies, eg Yorkshires, Spaniels, Staffies etc. The outdoor courtyard area is gated. Please see our pet policy here.

The Garden Cottage

A charming and characterful 2-4 sleeper self-catering cottage, with fireplace, that stands happily in its own enclosed, pebbled and paved, lush, small garden that is rich with bird life.  Enjoy the peace and quiet. Listen for the blowing of the whales, the calls of seagulls and distant rumbling of waves as you unwind and relax in comfort.

The Loft

After a long day at the beach, this lovely, light and spacious 2 bedroom, upstairs Loft, invites you to enjoy its relaxed holiday ambiance. Awake in the mornings, refreshed, to the twittering of the birds in the large surrounding trees and the fresh smell of the gentle ocean sea breeze.

The Rose Room

Return from a stroll and refreshing swim in the tidal marine pool and retire in the romantic and spacious Rose Room that accommodates 2 persons in the main bedroom and 2 persons in the adjoining sun room on a pull out sofa bed.  Be surrounded by attractive furnishings and fabrics, reminiscent of a gracious era, along with high ceilings, long sash windows and understated luxury.
